2006年，我在美術館看到一件印象深刻的作品，來自泰國藝術家納塔里˙席瓦瑞的《海嘯記憶》，曾是2004年南亞大海嘯受難者的那塔里，用一種溫和又內斂的方式，來記憶他的憂傷，那件作品不斷地散發一種柔軟卻源源不絕的力量，慢慢向我襲來。
「我也想創造出那種溫和蘊藉的力量」當時還在念書的我，偷偷地在心裡對著自己說。
2011年，這個始終沒有熄滅的念頭，變成《微笑爆炸》的創作發想，我一直希望用一種更開心、愉悅的方式，來製造這種力量，並強調對這個世界的關心，還有愛與和平。
I saw an impressive work in a museum. That work was Tunami Memory, made by Thipwaree Thanarit. It was 2006. Thanarit was a survivor of 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami. He(or she) used a gentle way to memorize the sadness in trunami. That work seems generating a sort of soft and powerful force to me slowly.
I want to create that kind of soft power. I said to myself. And I was a student yet.
I hold that thought until 2011, and then it becomes a motif of “Overflow with Laughter”. I have been trying to create a kind of power or force with happiness and joy to love, and to care about this world.
